Front Landing Gear Wheel for P-40 Warbird RC Fighter 400mm 4CH Airplane

Protect Your Airframe with Smooth Landings

Rough runways and bumpy landings are the primary causes of damage to small-scale RC aircraft fuselages and propellers. For the P-40 Warbird RC Fighter, a bent or missing front wheel can turn a fun flying session into a grounding repair job. This high-quality replacement front landing gear solves the pain of unstable takeoffs and harsh ground impacts, providing the necessary clearance and stability to protect your 400mm warbird during the most critical phases of flight.  Ships worldwide.

Product Highlights

  • Integrated Shock Spring: The steel wire struts feature a built-in coil spring designed to flex and absorb impact energy, reducing the stress transferred to the foam airframe.

  • High-Traction Foam/Plastic Wheel: Engineered for low rolling resistance on various surfaces, ensuring your P-40 gains speed quickly for effortless takeoffs.

  • Perfect Scale Fit: Custom-shaped to fit the specific landing gear slots of the 400mm wingspan P-40, maintaining the fighter's iconic profile.

  • Resilient Steel Wire: Made from high-tensile wire that resists permanent bending, allowing it to spring back into shape even after less-than-perfect landings.

Compatibility

For the P-40 Warbird RC Fighter only.

What’s in the Box

  • 1 x P-40 Warbird RC Fighter Front Wheel Set

Install Tips

  • Strut Alignment: Insert the top of the metal strut into the pre-molded landing gear slot on the underside of the P-40's fuselage; ensure the wheel faces forward.

  • Locking Mechanism: Press the wire firmly into the plastic retainer clip until it "snaps" or seats securely; check that there is no excessive side-to-side wobble.

  • Wheel Inspection: Before your first flight, spin the wheel to ensure it rotates freely and is not rubbing against the wire strut or the foam airframe.

  • Directional Adjustment: If the plane veers during taxiing, gently bend the wire strut in small increments to ensure the front wheel is perfectly aligned for straight takeoffs.
