Install Tips

• Blade Tensioning: When installing the blades into the grips, tighten the bolts just enough so the blades hold their position when the helicopter is sideways, but can still move when lightly tapped.

• Grip Alignment: Ensure the linkage balls on the grips are facing the correct direction to meet the linkage rods from the swashplate; forcing a backward grip can damage the rotor hub.

• Hardware Inspection: Always reuse or replace the original metal bushings and spacers during installation to ensure the grips pivot smoothly without excessive vertical play.

• Pre-Flight Tracking: After assembly, spin the rotors up slowly on a level surface to check that all blade tips are traveling along the same horizontal path (tracking).
