Install Tips

• Removing the Degraded Main Motor: Disconnect the motor lead wires from the main control board receiver sockets; unfasten the bottom mounting screws from underneath the chassis engine bay and carefully slide the old motor out.

• Aligning the Motor Faceplate and Screws: Slide the new black brushless motor into the circular mounting seat of the lower frame; align the threaded holes on the motor flange with the chassis slots, insert the two included screws, and tighten them until snug.

• Setting the Pinion-to-Main Gear Backlash: Adjust the motor's position slightly so the silver metal pinion meshes smoothly with the main gear; ensure a microscopic gap (about the thickness of a single sheet of paper) remains between the teeth to prevent friction binding before finalizing the torque on the screws.

• Routing Output Wires and Rotation Verification: Guide the silicone power wires through the frame channels, keeping them secured safely away from the spinning main shaft or servo linkages; plug the connectors into the main ESC board and perform a low-throttle bench test to verify smooth, quiet rotation before locking the scale green Apache fuselage shell back into place.
