Black Prop Saver Shaft Base for Volantex 761-4 Sport Cub Trainer

Essential Crash Protection for Your Trainer Plane

For beginners learning to fly the Volantex 761-4 Sport Cub Trainer, nose-first landings are an inevitable part of the journey. Without a proper breakaway system, these impacts often result in snapped motor shafts or stripped gears, leading to expensive repairs. This Prop Saver Shaft black base is the mechanical "fuse" your airplane needs. It is designed to allow the propeller to pop off safely during a crash, absorbing the impact energy and shielding your motor and internal drivetrain from permanent damage.  Ships worldwide.

Product Highlights

  • Tailored for 761-4 Sport Cub Trainer: Specifically molded to fit the gear shaft of the VolantexRC 761-4 Sport Cub 500 series, ensuring a snug, wobble-free fit during flight.

  • High-Toughness Material: Crafted from reinforced black nylon that maintains its shape under high RPMs while providing enough "give" to protect components during a strike.

  • Lightweight Aero Profile: The compact, circular design minimizes drag and maintains the correct center of gravity for your trainer airplane.

  • Quick Field Repair: Enables you to reattach your propeller in seconds without tools, getting you back in the air immediately after a minor tumble.

Install Tips

  • Base Alignment: Slide the black prop saver base onto the motor/gear shaft; ensure the internal D-shape or notches align perfectly with the shaft's profile to prevent slipping.

  • Securing the Base: Press the base firmly toward the fuselage until it is fully seated; check that it spins true and doesn't rub against the airplane's cowl.

  • Propeller Attachment: Place your propeller onto the front of the base; ensure the prop's hub is centered on the raised mounting circle for optimal balance.

  • O-Ring/Screw Check: Secure the propeller to the base using the appropriate rubber ring or mounting screw (sold separately); always perform a low-throttle vibration check before your first flight.
