FAQs – 7.4V (2S) Battery with XT30 Plug

Will this 7.4V (2S) battery with XT30 fit my device?

Yes, it fits any model that uses a **yellow XT30 power connector** and supports **7.4V (nominal 2S, up to 8.4V when fully charged)**. Please check your device manual or label to confirm “7.4V / 2S” input.

The XT30 plugs feel too tight. Is that normal?

Yes. Brand-new XT30 connectors can be **snug on first use**. Align the keying, push straight in (no twisting), and seat/unseat a couple of times. If you see plastic flash or debris, gently clear it—do not force the connectors.

What’s the difference between XT30 and XT30U?

Both carry similar current, but **XT30U** has a revised housing/key shape. Our pack uses **standard XT30**. If your device has XT30U and won’t mate, contact us—we can provide a **compatible adapter/lead**.

Which plug powers the model—the yellow XT30 or the white 3-pin?

Use the **yellow XT30** for power. The **white 3-pin JST-XH** is the **balance/charging lead** and should not be plugged into the model’s power socket.

How do I avoid reverse polarity?

Match **red-to-red (positive)** and **black-to-black (negative)**. XT30 is keyed to prevent mistakes—never force a misaligned connection.

How should I charge this battery?

Use a charger that supports **2S (7.4V)  and balance charge via the **white JST-XH** lead. Stop charging if the pack becomes hot, swollen, or damaged.

Can I use this pack in place of a 2S ?

Yes—many devices labeled “2S 7.4V” will also work with a **2S  pack, provided the connector and size fit. Always confirm the voltage range and connector type.

It still won’t connect—what should I check?

1) Confirm your device truly uses **XT30 (not XT30U/XT60/DC barrel)**.
2) Check for **key alignment** and any burrs.
3) Verify your device spec states **7.4V/2S**.
If there’s a mismatch, we can help with an **adapter** or arrange a **return** if the pack is unused and in resalable condition.

Safety tips

Switch the model **OFF** before connecting, never short the terminals, keep cells within **3.0–4.2V per cell**, and store the battery at ~**3.7–3.85V per cell** if not used for long periods.
