Main Feathering Shaft for RC ERA C189 MD500 Helicopter
Eliminate High-Frequency Vibrations
Even a microscopic bend in your feathering shaft (spindle) can cause massive vibrations that confuse the gyro and lead to a "toilet bowl effect" (TBE) hover. This hardened steel shaft restores perfect concentricity to your rotor head, solving vibration issues at the source and protecting your main shaft bearings. Ships worldwide.
Product Highlights
High-Tensile Steel: Quenched and hardened to resist bending during impacts, maintaining a perfectly straight axis for your blade grips.
The "Spin" Test: Before installing, roll the shaft on a piece of glass; if it wobbles, it is bent and must be replaced.
Thread Locker Essential: Always apply a tiny drop of blue thread locker to the spindle screws; without it, centrifugal force can cause the blades to fly off.
O-Ring Greasing: Lightly grease the rubber dampeners inside the rotor head before sliding the shaft through to prevent tearing the rubber.
