CNC Metal Swashplate Replacement Part for RC ERA C184 MD530 Helicopter
Eradicate Servo Slop, Eliminate Flight Over-Correction, and Lock In Precise Swashplate Telemetry Coordination
The swashplate serves as the mechanical brain of your helicopter's physical steering, transferring vertical collective and tilting cyclic servo movements straight into the spinning rotor blade system. When stock swashplate components face long flight hours, hairline cracks form in the housing arms, or the central slider slot expands due to friction. This results in mechanical slop, delayed servo reaction lag, and erratic hovering drifting. For the 1/48 scale RC ERA C184 MD530, even minor mechanical steering play creates a feedback loop that disrupts the automated calculations of the downward optical flow positioning sensor. Installing this factory-engineered metal core swashplate eliminates physical control slop, ensuring smooth linkage pivoting and snapping your scale bird back into an ultra-stable, predictable hover state. Ships worldwide.
Product Highlights
Premium Machined Brass Center Bearing: Features a wear-resistant, self-lubricating golden brass uniball core slider that glides smoothly up and down the main shaft without binding.
Reinforced Structural Pivot Matrix: Built with high-strength composite outer rings and rigid molded control link studs designed to eliminate flex under fast servo cyclic commands.
Zero-Play 3-Point Linkage Geometry: Machined into a balanced 120-degree three-point mechanical layout that splits steering torque loads evenly across your three control servos.
Ultra-Smooth Low-Friction Race Track: Optimized internal ball races isolate the rotating section from the stationary base ring, keeping rotational load draw away from your main drive system.
Compatibility
For the RC ERA C184 MD530 only. Full model page (specs & photos):
Removing the Worn Swashplate Ring: Pop off the three lower servo linkage pushrods and the upper blade grip linkages; unfasten the main rotor head lock pin to slide the steel main shaft completely out from the main chassis frame assembly.
Seating the Brass Core Over the Main Shaft: Slide the new black and gold swashplate component straight onto the lower section of your steel main axle; ensure the golden brass uniball bushing faces upward and the stationary guide pin slots into the rear anti-rotation bracket on the inner fuselage spine.
Reconnecting Ball-Link Pushrods Safely: Use your ball-link pliers to snap the upper linkages onto the upper rotating ring balls; align and pop the three lower main servo pushrods onto the lower stationary steering studs without bending the metal servo output pins.
Leveling Verification and Optical Flow Sensor Test: Place your MD530 craft onto your level layout mat; initialize your radio remote controller unit to mid-stick center to verify the new swashplate sits flat, and perform a dry test run to ensure your white reduction gears spin with zero binding, providing your optical flow tracker camera sensor a smooth, vibration-free platform.
