4-Blade Main Rotor Head Hub Replacement for RC ERA C184 MD530 Helicopter
Fix Rotor Head Slop, Eliminate Blade Tracking Wobbles, and Restore Pinpoint Optical Flow Hovering Accuracy
As the core physical intersection of your multi-blade flight control matrix, the main rotor hub transfers every ounce of cyclic and collective directional force directly to the spinning blades. Over long hours of scale flying or during sudden, high-stress landing tip-overs, the small composite mounting arms on a stock head can warp, stretch, or sustain microscopic stress fractures. This introduces mechanical slop into the blade grips, causing uneven blade tracking, lazy pitch responses, and high-frequency fuselage vibrations. For the 1/48 scale RC ERA C184 MD530, such vibration directly spoils the positioning telemetry captured by the downward-facing optical flow camera sensor. Swapping out your worn hub with this factory-fresh, perfectly true 4-blade replacement head completely eliminates steering slop, locking back in the rock-solid hovering precision your scale helicopter possessed on day one. Ships worldwide.
Product Highlights
Reinforced 4-Blade Symmetric Cross Matrix: Molded into an ultra-precise cross geometry that anchors all four blade grips at perfect 90-degree offsets for stable aerodynamic tracking.
High-Density Self-Lubricating Engineering Polymer: Injection-molded from a premium composite matrix designed to resist stretching under heavy centrifugal high-RPM flight loads.
Flawless Zero-Flex Drive Collar Fitment: Features a perfectly tolerance-matched central main shaft sleeve channel that eliminates wobbles between the drive axle and the rotor assembly.
Low-Inertia Weight-Optimized Core Profile: Keeps rotational mass down to minimum factory baselines, significantly reducing torque load spikes on your brushless main motor and extending battery runtime.
Compatibility
For the RC ERA C184 MD530 only. Full model page (specs & photos):
Stripping the Old Multi-Blade Assembly: Use your micro tools to pop off the five cyclic pushrod linkages; unthread the feathering shaft spindle hardware screws to detach your main blade grips from the worn central hub block.
Main Shaft Seating and Lock Pin Insertion: Slide the new black 4-blade rotor head piece straight down onto the top of the steel main rotor shaft; carefully align the horizontal cross-drilled mounting holes and push the silver lock pin through to prevent vertical slippage.
Reassembling Blade Grips and Linkage Arms: Slide your blade grips over the four cross-stems of the new hub matrix; thread your retaining screws back in until snug, and snap the ball ends of your pitch linkages back onto the steering ball studs without twisting the plastic cups.
Pre-Flight Tracking and Sensor Calibration: Place the reassembled MD530 model onto a flat, non-slip workbench mat; spin the main blade system by hand to ensure a perfectly level plane, then run a slow spool-up to confirm that the fuselage runs vibration-free, enabling your downward optical flow tracking lens to lock its coordinates smoothly.
