RC ERA C170 Battery Compartment Frame Mount for 1:48 Scale Apache Helicopter
Fix Loose Battery Slideways, Prevent Internal Component Rattle, and Restore Solid Structural Rigidness During 3D Stunts
The internal battery compartment and avionic bay assembly serves as the foundational backbone for your scale helicopter, keeping the heavy flight battery package and core mainboard tightly locked inside the fuselage. For a high-performance 1:48 scale helicopter like the RC ERA C170 Longbow Apache, executing sharp inverted flips or high-G 3D stunt mode pull-ups places severe inertial pressure on the internal structural clips. Over time, frequent battery sliding insertions, rough belly landings, or nose collisions can crack the molded retaining tracks, snap off the flexible slide locks, or warp the central tray alignment. Flying with a damaged internal compartment causes the battery pack to shift mid-flight, destroying your center of gravity (CG) and leading to sudden gyro drift or uncommanded nose dives. Replacing your cracked interior bay with this factory-original composite tray restores precise slide-in alignment and keeps your core flight hardware rock-solid. Ships worldwide.
Product Highlights
Tailored Scale Cockpit-Floor Geometry: Molded with accurate stepped elevation chambers as shown to trace the scale dimensions of the Apache fuselage interior perfectly.
Reinforced Engineering Polymer Material: Fabricated from high-tensile, lightweight plastic compound that withstands heavy battery docking friction without wearing down or stripping.
Built-in Guide Rail Tracks: Features crisp, pre-formed slide channels and quick-snap locking slots to accept the modular smart battery pack without stickiness or play.
Pre-Bored Fuselage Anchor Points: Equipped with factory-positioned screw alignment loops and frame alignment pins for seamless integration into the main chassis wall.
Compatibility
For the RC ERA C170 1:48 Scale Longbow Apache RC Helicopter only. Full model page (specs & photos):
Accessing the Central Avionic Chassis: Carefully disassemble the main outer fuselage left and right scale shells; disconnect and remove the battery connector wiring and lift out any damaged inner plastic frame brackets.
Positioning the Fresh Inner Compartment Block: Align the new black battery tray shown inside the center of the airframe, ensuring the forward step faces toward the helicopter nose and sits completely parallel to the main motor mast.
Securing the Bracket Fasteners: Thread your factory self-tapping retaining screws back through the pre-drilled chassis holes on the side tabs; tighten them firmly into the mounting columns, making sure not to over-torque the plastic threads.
Testing Sliding Track Smoothness: Before snapping the outer fuselage shells back together, slide your C170 smart battery block in and out of the newly installed rail tracks to verify that the retaining clip latches and releases smoothly with a distinct click.
