RC ERA C184 Tail Wing Stabilizer Set for 1/48 Scale MD530 RC Helicopter (Red-White/Gray)
Fix Cracked Fin Structures, Eliminate Tail-Heavy Drifts, and Restore Authentic MD530 Aerodynamic Stability
The empennage tracking fins—consisting of the swept vertical stabilizer and the horizontal stabilizer assembly—are critical aerodynamic surfaces that prevent unwanted yaw and pitch oscillation. For an agile 1/48 scale multi-rotor model like the RC ERA C184 MD530, executing rapid banking turns or fast forward transitions in 3D stunt mode puts significant air pressure on these thin protruding plastic panels. During hard landings, unexpected tail-first wall clips, or grass tumbles, these delicate stabilization fins can crack, warp, or snap off completely at the mounting roots. Flying with a damaged or missing tail stabilizer compromises the aircraft’s natural tracking, forcing the internal gyro and optical flow positioning systems to overcompensate, which drains battery power and induces annoying tail shudders. Replacing your cracked panels with this factory-original tail wing set immediately snaps your fuselage back into aerodynamic equilibrium and restores its pristine scale appearance. Ships worldwide.
Product Highlights
Complete Multi-Plane Stabilizer Package: Contains both the vertical stabilizer fin (featuring the scale curved rear antenna tip) and the horizontal wing segment with integrated vertical endplates as shown
Authentic Factory Color Profiling: Available in official matte red-white / grey finish options to match your stock MD530 livery perfectly without showing ugly repair contrast lines.
Impact-Resistant ABS Polymer Composition: Molded from lightweight yet structurally rigid plastic composites that withstand high aerodynamic stress while keeping weight off the tail boom.
Pre-Molded Through-Hole Fastener Mounts: Features factory-drilled centering screw ports and snap alignment pegs designed to slide directly into the tail boom brackets.
Compatibility
For the RC ERA C184 MD530 only. Full model page (specs & photos):
Clearing Broken Stabilizer Stubs: Back out the micro retention screws located on the side of the rear tail boom pod casing; slide the broken vertical or horizontal fin fragments out of their internal holding slots and clear away any trapped debris.
Installing the Vertical Stabilizer Fin: Slide the mounting root tabs of the new vertical fin into the top vertical recess slot of the tail boom; ensure the curved tail antenna extension points rearward and downward.
Seating the Horizontal Wing Assembly: Take the cross-stabilizer panel containing the dual side endplates; push the central alignment sleeve straight into the horizontal lower slot tracks of the tail structure until the factory screw holes line up perfectly with the internal chassis plastic.
Locking the Fasteners and Tracking Test: Re-insert the original metric frame screws through the molded alignment ports and tighten gently until snug; manually inspect the surfaces from the front of the model to ensure the horizontal wing sits exactly 90 degrees square to the main rotor shaft before clearing your helicopter for high-speed flight.
