Coreless Tail Motor Replacement Part with Wire Plug for RC ERA C170 Apache
Fix Uncontrollable Tail Spinning, Stop High-Speed Yaw Drifting, and Restore Precise Heading Lock During Aggressive 3D Flights
The tail motor is the sole component responsible for countering main rotor torque and maintaining heading lock on your aircraft. For a high-performance scale model like the RC ERA C170 Longbow Apache, executing high-speed banking turns or sudden collective pitch bursts in 3D stunt mode forces the tail motor to react with instantaneous bursts of high-RPM thrust. Because tail rotors sit at the absolute extremity of the boom, any minor tail clip, rough landing, or blade strike transfers a massive shock load straight through the motor shaft. Over time, this causes internal brush fatigue, leading to a fading tail holding power, erratic whipping, mid-air blowouts, or complete loss of directional control. This factory-original RC ERA C170 tail motor kit instantly cures your tail-wagging issues, restoring a locked-in heading hold and ensuring stable automated flight tracking. Ships worldwide.
Product Highlights
Ultra-Responsive Coreless Motor Architecture: Engineered for rapid acceleration and deceleration curves, providing instantaneous anti-torque compensation during intense aerobatics.
Pre-Soldered Extended Wire Loom: Features low-resistance, highly flexible factory power wires insulated to fit smoothly inside the narrow internal channels of the Apache tail boom.
Pre-Terminated Micro Connection Plug: Comes with a factory-crimped terminal plug that snaps directly into the main receiver board without requiring soldering or wire splicing.
Polished Anti-Corrosion Metal Casing: Encased in a lightweight, precision-machined cylindrical aluminum housing designed to dissipate heat efficiently and slide easily into the tail pod.
Compatibility
For the RC ERA C170 1:48 Scale Longbow Apache RC Helicopter only. Full model page (specs & photos):
Extracting the Blown Tail Motor: Carefully split open the rear scale tail housing shell; disconnect the tiny wire harness plug from the main flight control receiver board, and gently slide the dead cylindrical motor casing out of its molded retention sleeve.
Routing the Long Power Harness Loom: Feed the micro plug and long black-and-white wire harness through the internal center channel of the tail boom tube, pushing carefully from back to front until the connector reaches the main cabin area.
Seating the Casing and Reconnecting Power: Press the silver coreless motor straight into its designated structural mounting pod until it sits completely flush; plug the harness connector securely into the correct designated tail motor socket on the main ESC assembly board.
Pre-Flight Gyro and Rotation Direction Verification: Mount your tail rotor blade back onto the small motor output shaft; power on your transmitter to check command inputs and verify that the tail rotor spins freely without rubbing against the outer scale tail guard before clearing your Apache for high-speed flight missions.
