Install Tips

• Removing the Defective Steering Unit: Back out the perimeter body screws to split open your red and white civil fuselage shell; unfasten the four mounting fasteners on the servo clamp plate, pop the linkage rod off the arm, and unplug the wiring loom from the receiver controller board.

• Compartment Seating and Cable Routing: Drop the new black servo unit straight into the designated open slot on the mounting bracket tray; route the insulated red/black/white lead wire cleanly along the interior wall, keeping it well clear of the spinning white main gear teeth.

• Electronics Centering and Arm Installation: Plug the servo terminal connector securely back into its matching port on the mainboard; power on your radio transmitter first and then the helicopter to let the new servo center itself automatically to neutral before securing the mechanical servo arm and linkage rod.

• Pre-Flight Leveling and Telemetry Check: Lock the clamping plate back down with its four screws; place your reassembled MD530 onto a flat workspace pad and verify that the metal swashplate ring sits perfectly level.
