CNC Metal Main Rotor Head Hub Grips Set for RC ERA C170 Apache Helicopter
Eliminate Rotor Grip Wobble, Fix 3D Aero-Straining Flex, and Lock In High-G Aerobatic Tracking Geometry
The main rotor head is the central anchor point of your helicopter’s flight dynamics, bearing the intense centrifugal forces generated by the spinning main blades. In 3D stunt mode, executing sharp inversions, loops, and sudden pitch pumps puts massive torsional stress on the rotor head's structural linkages. Over time, plastic or fatigued factory heads develop micro-flex and spindle bore play, which instantly leads to blade tracking splits, severe airframe shudder, and unstable hovering. For the 1:48 scale RC ERA C170 Longbow Apache, tracking slop degrades the precise cyclic execution required for stunt maneuvers. Upgrading to this factory-engineered high-rigidity CNC metal rotor head assembly completely removes control play, handles intense structural loading during negative-pitch stunts, and restores smooth flight tracking planes. Ships worldwide.
Product Highlights
Premium Machined Heavy-Duty CNC Aluminum: Precision-sculpted from high-tensile metal alloy to provide maximum rigid strength, ensuring zero structural distortion during high-load 3D stunt aerobatics.
Integrated Quad-Spindle Rotor Geometry: Features perfectly balanced, solid cross-axial spindle shafts engineered to interlock all four main rotor blade grips into a uniform aerodynamic plane.
Hardened Steel Collar Bushing Rings: Packed with four specialized low-friction metal insert bushings designed to slide over the spindle arms, isolating the rotating grips from lateral friction wear.
High-Pitch Structural Clamping Bolt: Includes a precision-threaded long metal locking screw that runs directly through the main shaft sleeve base to completely secure the head assembly against vertical play.
Compatibility
For the RC ERA C170 1:48 Scale Longbow Apache RC Helicopter only. Full model page (specs & photos):
Extracting the Worn Head Core: Unsnap the four steering pitch linkage rods from the swashplate ring; back out the main cross-pin locking screw at the top of the axle, and slide the old rotor head vertically off the steel main shaft.
Aligning the Metal Insert Bushing Rings: Slide the four polished metal collar rings onto the four horizontal cross-spindle axles of your new rotor head, making sure they sit completely flush against the inner shoulders before sliding your blade grips over them.
Seating and Fastening the Main Shaft Adapter: Slide the lower stem sleeve of the new silver metal rotor head straight down onto the top tip of your steel main shaft axle; align the cross-drilled mounting channels perfectly with the shaft indexing hole.
Torquing the Retention Screw and Pre-Flight Spin Test: Insert the included long retention screw into the cross-lock channel and tighten securely until snug, taking care not to over-torque; reattach your cyclic linkages and spin the four blades by hand to verify that the entire tracking hub assembly rotates with silky-smooth precision before launching into 3D stunt flights.
