Install Tips

• Disassembling Upper Rotor Head Assembly: Remove the main rotor blades and unscrew the linkage pushrods attached to the rotor swashplate and rotor hub clips.

• Removing Old Main Shaft: Unscrew the lower retaining pin/screw securing the main drive gear to the bottom of the bent shaft, then slide the old shaft upward out of the main frame bearings.

• Inserting the Replacement Shaft: Slide the new steel main shaft downward through the upper and lower fuselage bearings, ensuring smooth rotation without lateral play.

• Reattaching Main Gear and Linkages: Align the shaft's lower mounting hole with the main gear hub, insert the locking screw tightly, and reconnect all swashplate control linkages before performing a low-RPM test spin.
