Install Tips

• Removing the Stripped Drive Gear: Unfasten the retaining pin screw at the base of the central steel shaft beneath the chassis; gently pull the main gear downward away from the main frame bearing blocks and slide it off the shaft flat interface.

• Indexing the Square Shaft Adaptor Core: Align the square center hole of your fresh cream-white main gear with the matching machined square section on your RC ERA C170 main shaft; slide it upward until it sits flush against the bottom bearing spacer plate.

• Securing the Retaining Shaft Screw: Re-insert the factory self-tapping screw back through the lower gear sleeve collar hole and directly into the core shaft alignment index; tighten carefully until snug, ensuring you do not over-torque or strip out the center plastic sleeve.
