CNC Mechanical Main Rotor Swashplate Assembly for RC ERA C170 Apache

Eliminate Flips Sluggishness, Stop Aggressive 3D Tracking Drift, and Re-Establish True Centered Pitch Responsiveness

The swashplate is the mechanical brain of your helicopter's rotor system, translating non-rotating multi-angle steering commands from your servos into rotating blade pitch execution. In 3D stunt mode, executing inverted rolls, tight loops, and high-speed pitch snaps puts immense multi-directional leverage on the ball arms and center pivot. When the internal bearing wears down, or the center brass core develops loose play, your steering becomes laggy, inconsistent, and highly susceptible to mid-air tracking deviations. For the 1:48 scale RC ERA C170 Longbow Apache, this steering deadband degrades automated flight leveling and takes the sharpness out of extreme stunt physics. Swapping in this factory-fresh, low-friction swashplate assembly completely seals out control slop, ensures uniform cyclical tilting, and delivers razor-sharp aerodynamic authority.  Ships worldwide.

Product Highlights

  • Integrated Self-Lubricating Brass Center Ball: Fitted with a premium golden brass fish-eye pivot core designed to slide smoothly along the vertical main shaft with zero friction binding or stickiness.

  • Pre-Installed Sealed High-RPM Ball Bearing: Built around a factory-pressed steel radial ball bearing ring that guarantees isolated, smooth rotation between the upper rotating and lower stationary plates.

  • High-Impact Zero-Flex Structural Ring: Molded from a dense, matte black reinforced composite alloy matrix engineered to endure heavy continuous pull rod strains without flexing under 3D stunt loads.

  • Precision-Sized Micro Ball Link Extension Posts: Features clean, round ball-link stubs sized to exact technical millimeter tolerances to ensure a tight, no-slip snap fit with your cyclic pushrods.

Compatibility

For the RC ERA C170 1:48 Scale Longbow Apache RC Helicopter only.

What’s in the Box

  • 1 x RC ERA C170 Swashplate

Install Tips

  • Extracting the Damaged Swashplate Block: Disconnect all main rotor blade linkages and slide the vertical main shaft out; pop off the lower steering servo pushrods from the swashplate arms and slide the old assembly off the inner frame core.

  • Aligning the Anti-Rotation Bracket Guide Pin: Slide the new black swashplate unit down onto the polished silver steel main shaft; ensure that the elongated vertical guide pin slides directly into the slots of your fuselage's anti-rotation bracket channel.

  • Snapping Servo and Rotor Blade Head Pushrods: Use a micro ball-link plier tool to snap your lower servo rods onto the lower stationary ball stems; connect the upper links from the four rotating ball posts to your rotor head grips with an audible click.

  • Pre-Flight Swashplate Leveling Check: Power up your wireless transmitter and connect the flight pack to let the servos self-center to neutral; inspect the alignment to confirm that the swashplate ring sits perfectly level to the horizon before firing up the high-G 3D stunt flight path.
