Install Tips

• Damaged Motor Extraction: Carefully detach your upper cabin canopy cover and pop off the lower servo links; unplug the red, blue, and black power wires from the electronic speed controller, then unbolt the old motor assembly from underneath the helicopter core framework.

• Chassis Alignment & Bolt Fastening: Slide the extended silver metal drive shaft of your new motor straight up through the core bearing blocks of the central mainframe; line up the lower threaded holes on the motor base with the composite frame tabs, drop in the 2 included silver mounting bolts, and torque them down snug with a drop of medium threadlock.

• ESC Phase Wire Connection: Plug the red, blue, and black silicone motor lead wires back into the receiver/ESC unit sockets securely; if your 4-blade rotor head spins backward upon initial spool-up, simply swap any two of these three wire connections to reverse the rotation direction back to true factory orientation.

• Pre-Flight Smoothness Inspection: Turn the main rotor assembly manually by hand to verify that the outrunner bell clears all surrounding servo mounts and internal fuselage wiring; power up your C180 transmitter at low throttle to confirm a beautifully quiet, vibration-free spool-up before launching into high-speed 3D flight paths.
